Winchester Basics Bank Run

Service Description

We’ll be holding our first WFC RC Food Bank Run on 9th May, in support of Winchester Basics Bank (WBB). With the number of food banks on the rise and the number of people using them also increasing, we’d love to help out our local community as a club. We’re not alone in doing this (see https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-68244365.amp for more details). So, for those interested in taking part, we’ll be incorporating a drop off to Winchester Basics Bank into our usual Thursday social run, setting off at 7pm. We’ll start the run carrying any items we’re able to donate, run (just over a mile) to the food bank and deliver them, and then continue on the rest of our run before finishing at 8pm as usual.
