YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT!!!

Understanding what to eat when working out is what will help you deliver your results faster... It's all in the food.

Fuelling your body properly after a workout is essential for optimal performance and recovery. Proper nutrition for post-workout recovery can help you maximize the benefits of your exercise routine and get you back to your peak performance quicker.

When it comes to post-workout nutrition, it’s important to focus on consuming nutrient-dense, easily digestible foods that will help replenish the energy stores you just burned off. This includes foods that are high in carbohydrates, good fats, and proteins.

Carbohydrates are essential for post-workout recovery, as they are the main source of fuel that your body needs to replenish the energy stores you just used up. Good sources of carbohydrates include whole grain breads and pastas, oats, sweet potatoes, beans and so much more.

Good fats are also important for post-workout recovery, as they provide essential fatty acids that your body needs to rebuild and repair muscle tissue. Sources of good fats include nuts, avocados, olives, and salmon.

Protein is another essential nutrient for post-workout recovery, as it helps to rebuild and repair the muscle tissue you just used. Sources of protein include lean meats, eggs, dairy, and legumes.

It’s incredibly important to stay hydrated during and after a workout, as dehydration can impair your performance and the speed of your recovery. Make sure to drink plenty of water or appropriate sports drinks to help replenish the fluids you've just lost.

Consuming a combination of these nutrient-dense, easily digestible foods in the right proportions can help you maximise the benefits of your workout and get you back to your best quicker. Making sure you are consuming the proper nutrition for pre and post exercise is essential if you have goals in mind. The dreaded title of "you are what you eat" is often seen as negative but realistically if you understand what your body needs from its baseline then you are already on the way to some fantastic results.
